Music as exciting as the country it originates from, Barcelona's Go Lem System present their only London date at Jacksons Lane, North London's most buzzing and dynamic place for music, comedy, dance and theatre. The gig is also a chance to hear Go Lem System's new album 'Caceria', released Monday 10 July by Satélite K, life for the first time. As with the music of their friend Manu Chao, the sound of Go Lem System is full of sly hooks, catchy melodies, insidious rhythms and memorable lyrics, the perfect soundtrack for the end of the summer, Spanish Latino reggae vibe exuding serious brass grooves, bass riffs, skankin’ guitar and mellifluous vocals. Go Lem System’s Aleko and Serge hail originally from Argentina but moved to Barcelona, Spain, in May 2001 and there they began to gather around them the musicians who would eventually comprise the band. Go Lem’s music may be simply described as ‘Trip Songs in Dub’ but it’s complex mix takes “mestizaje” and fuses diverse rhythms sourced from reggae, dub, trip hop, drum ‘n’ bass, jazz and beyond to create the group’s unique dance sound. So popular are they in Spain that the huge star Manu Chao, one-time leader of the French rock band 'Mano Negra', now renowned for his Latin flavor, played Spanish guitars on Go Lem System’s début disc 'Viaje' and appeared again on 'Caceria', singing 'Calle Go Lem'.

"Il gruppo nasce nella città di Barcellona nel 2002.Il loro proposito musicale è avvicinarsi alla fusione di ritmi come il reggae, dub, jazz, rock e drum´n´bass, mantenendo comunque uno stile personalizzato e ballabile. Nel maggio del 2001 Aleko e Serge lasciano la città di Buenos Aires, Argentina, con i molti progetti musicali che fino ad allora avevano prodotto insieme come Golem: ""Paraíso"" (2000) e ""Infierno"" (2001). Alla fine del 2002 registrano Viaje primo lavoro come Go Lem System con la collaborazione di musicisti invitati come Manu Chao alla chitarra spagnola.Nel 2003 incidono e mixano tre nuove canzoni che concludono il lavoro del cd ""Viaje"" . La banda presenta il disco nei vari festival, U Zona Reggae (2003), Mercat de Música Viva de Vic (2003) e parte con una grande toernèe di concerti nei teatri spagnoli. La tournèe presto si estende anche in Europa nei grandi festival, come Summerjam Festival (Colonia Germania, 2004), Soça Reggae Riversplash Festival (Tolmin Slovenia, 2004), Beautiful Days Festival (Exeter Inghilterra, 2004), e molti altri. A metà del 2004 firmano un contratto con la casa discografica Satélite K, per la quale realizzano, nell'aprile 2005 il video clip della canzone ""Rambla Mojada"". Attualmente Go Lem System ha finito di incidere il cd ""Caceria"", secondo album, inciso e prodotto dalla GLS negli studi Inquieto, con la partecipazione di importanti artisti come Manu Chao nella canzone ""Calle Go Lem"" che canta una parte della sua canzone ""Me Llaman Calle"", tema principale del film ""Princesas"".
