HAVANA MAMBO Y DANIEL MARTINEZ IZQUIERDO is a Cuban orchestra that amuse with its rhythms and its exhibitions of Cuban dances like salsa, mambo, cha cha cha, and merenghe dominicano. The group is formed exclusively by young professionals and graduated at the Havana Academy of Art and Music. In august l994, called from Romeo Ferrero, they arrives in Italy with the name of Havana Mambo. They interpret their habanera traditional music and they introduce also Salsa and Merengue, becoming very popular in Italy. Continuing therefore the tournée in Italy, they arrive to Turin, in the most typical Latin club, Sabor Latino. They have participated at Sanremo Top, singing and playing with some Italian singers, interpreting an evergreen Italian song in honour of the great Domenico Modugno, "Nel Blu Dipinto di Blu", in Latin merengue version. Today Havana Mambo is ready to satisfy every musical requirement: Mambo, Guaracha, Son, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Par, Bachata, Latin Jazz and a great interpretation of the amusing and difficult Merengue Dominicano. The 97 tournée brought them to Umbria Jazz with Josè Alberto "El Canario", Celia Cruz, El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico, Manolin "El Medico De La Salsa". In October ' 97 at the second “Salone della Musica di Torino”, they have presented their first cd called "Ula Ula". In 1999 Havana Mambo return to Cuba called by Isaac Delgado for Benny Moré Festival. In 2000 the cd "Mambo" sells 128,000 copies. In 2001 it is introduced “Havana Mambo' s ROMANCE” (9 Cuban boleri by Havana Mambo), another success is "Se formò la gozadera", produced in collaboration with DJ Seba and presented in twelve different compilations in Europe. During Midem in Cannes 2002 is presented "Havana Mambo Hasta el amanecer", in 2002: a ballad called "La Mecaniquita" and an instrumental one called "Instrumental Cuba to isla". In 2003 they participate with big success at the Conference of the Salsa in Marseilles. At the Midem in Cannes 2004 they introduce the DVD of this concert. The DVD is distributed in Italy in the series LATIN RHYTHMS by HOBBY&WORK and in U.S.A. from Pimenta records; always in Cannes on January 2004 they participate to the Festival "Les Talents du Sud". In 2005 they launch "Un mojito, una mujer y una bachata ". The formation is enriched by the great Daniel Martinez Izquierdo born in Havana on 14 june 1973. After the military service where he plays in the army’s band, Daniel enters in the group "Steel Son" where plays the steel tenor. Later he make part of the "La Constalaciòn", while he was attending the diploma at Habana conservatory " Ignacio Servantes " in classic guitar (1997). The first important cd is recorded like bass player in the group of Xiomara Laugart "Que manera de quererte". He remains with this group and he becomes the musical director, then he records a cd with Angel Bonnet. Later he enters the band of Eddy Gaitan and becomes musical producer of cd "Te Quiero Tanto". In 2002 he participates to the European tournèe of Alfredo De la Fè collaborating also to the production of his cd; the same year he participates like bass player to the European tournèe of Celia Cruz. Daniel begins the project "ITALUBA" with the famous drummer Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez with two records productions and he participates to the foundation of the project "Ernestico Cuba Jazz quartet". In 2003 he accompanies with Mercadonegro the famous singer Josè Alberto El Canario, in 2004 he participates to the New York Salsa All Stars and in Spain he collaborates with the singers Luz Casal and Victoria Abril. On November of the same year he accompanies the great guitar’s player Luis Salinas to the Festival Jazz of Madrid. In 2006 his first soloist album "Mi sentir", presented at Midem in Cannes 2006, comes out on 1° May 2006.

" L'orchestra cubana che fa divertire con i suoi ritmi e le sue esibizioni di balli cubani come salsa, mambo,cha cha cha, e merenghe dominicano. Il gruppo, formato esclusivamente da giovani professionisti e diplomati dell'Accademia d'Arte e Musica dell'Havana, nell'agosto del l994, chiamati da Romeo Ferrero, arriva in Italia con il nome di Havana Mambo. Interpretano al meglio la loro musica tradizionale habanera e accorgendosi che in Italia stava arrivando la forte e calorosa scia di musica latina, inseriscono anche le ballatissime Salsa e Merengue. Continuando così la tournée in Italia, arrivano a Torino, nel locale latino più tipico, il Sabor Latino. Hanno partecipato nell'ambito di Sanremo Top, cantando e suonando al fianco dei grandi della musica italiana interpretando su richiesta un famoso ed intramontabile motivo italiano in onore del grande Domenico Modugno, “Nel Blu Dipinto di Blu”, naturalmente in versione latino merengue. Oggi gli Havana Mambo sono pronti a soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza musicale: Mambo, Guaracha, Son, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Par, Bachata, Latin Jazz e soprattutto una grande interpretazione del divertente e difficile Merengue Dominicano. La tournée del 97 li ha visti trionfanti ad Umbria Jazz al fianco dei famosi Josè Alberto ""El Canario"", Celia Cruz, El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico, Manolin ""El Medico De La Salsa"". Nell’ ottobre ‘97 presso l'Arena del Secondo Salone Della Musica di Torino, hanno presentato il loro primo cd dal titolo “Ula Ula”. Nel 1999 Havana Mambo ritornano a Cuba invitati da Isaac Delgado al festival Benny Moré. Nel 2000 esce il cd ”Mambo” che vende 128.000 copie. Nel 2001 viene presentato Havana Mambo’s ROMANCE (9 boleri cubani degli Havana Mambo), un altro successo è “Se formò la gozadera” un brano del 2001, rappato e molto divertente prodotto in collaborazione con DJ Seba e inserito in dodici compilations differenti in tutta Europa. Al Midem di Cannes 2002 viene presentato “Havana Mambo Hasta el amanecer”, nel 2002: un ballabile dal titolo “La mecaniquita” ed un secondo di solo ascolto strumentale dal titolo “ Instrumental Cuba Tu isla”. Nel 2003 partecipano con grande successo al Congresso mondiale della Salsa di Marsiglia. Al Midem di Cannes 2004 presentano il DVD di questo concerto. Il DVD viene distribuito in Italia nella collana RITMI LATINI by HOBBY&WORK e in U.S.A. da Pimenta records, sempre a Cannes a gennaio 2004 partecipano al Festival “Les Talents du sud”. Nel 2005 esce “Un mojito, una mujer y una bachata”. La formazione è impreziosita dalla presnza del grande Daniel Martinez Izquierdo nato all’ Avana il 14 giugno 1973. Dopo il servizio militare dove suona nella banda dell’esercito, Daniel entra nel gruppo “Steel Son” dove suona lo steel tenore. In seguito entra a far parte della “la Constalaciòn”.Tutto questo mentre frequenta il conservatorio “Ignacio Servantes” de l’Avana dove si diploma in chitarra classica (1997). Il primo cd importante lo registra come bassista nel gruppo di Xiomara Laugart “Que manera de quererte”. Rimane con questo gruppo e ne diventa anche direttore musicale, per poi passare a registrare un cd con Angel Bonnet. In seguito entra a far parte del complesso musicale di Eddy Gaitan di cui diventa produttore musicale del cd “Te quiero tanto”. Nel 2002 partecipa alla tournèe Europea di Alfredo De La Fè collaborando anche alla produzione del suo cd; lo stesso anno partecipa come bassista alla tournèe Europea di Celia Cruz. Sempre come bassista, Daniel, inizia il progetto “ITALUBA” con il famoso batterista Horacio “El negro” Hernandez con due produzioni discografiche e partecipa alla fondazione del progetto “Ernestico Cuba Jazz quartet”. Nel 2003 accompagna con i Mercadonegro il famoso cantante Josè Alberto El Canario, nel 2004 partecipa alla New York Salsa All Stars e in Spagna collabora con la cantante Luz Casal e Victoria Abril. Nel novembre dello stesso anno partecipa al Festival Jazz di Madrid accompagnando il grande chitarrista Luis Salinas. Nel 2006 è pronto il suo primo album da cantante solista "" mi sentir "" presentato al Midem di Cannes 2006 uscirà nei negozi il 1° maggio 2006."
